On 15 November, Belgium celebrated the 10th anniversary of King Philippe ascension to the throne and 155th of Belgian-Thai diplomatic relations.
Belgium is well known for its delicacies, from beer to chocolate. It is also a leading country when it comes to high-end technology, innovation, higher education and research, pharmaceutical and chemical production, wind and hydrogen-based energy and creative industries, from film to fashion. With a value of about three billion euros, trade between our countries has surpassed its pre-Covid level.
The Embassy’s main partners are the communities of Belgium, the Belgian-Luxembourg/Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Thai Belgium Alumni Group.
Both countries’ Royal families share a longstanding friendship. Countless contacts between Belgian and Thai citizens, businesses and institutions guarantee a bright future for Belgian-Thai relations.
